First, determine if you're choosing a wide band (4mm or wider) or a narrow band (3mm or under). The width affects how the ring fits and feels—wider bands often require sizing up slightly for comfort.

Go to your local jeweller or goldsmith and let them know the width of the ring you're ordering. Ask to be sized with sizers that match that width. The correct size should slide on smoothly and come off with a gentle tug—not too loose, not too tight.
Step 3: Account for Body Temperature
If your fingers fluctuate with temperature (like many do), it's best to get sized 2–3 times at different times of day. Your hands may swell in the heat and shrink in the cold, and sizing multiple times gives a more accurate average for everyday wear.
